The Montreal Ukrainian Festival returns live for its biggest-ever event to celebrate the beauty of the Ukrainian culture, heritage and resilience. The festivities will kick off the night before at the Montreal Alouettes football game. We invite all Montrealers to Stand with Ukraine and help raise awareness and funds in support of the ongoing humanitarian crisis.

Come and discover Ukrainian food delights (everyone loves perogies!), photo-booths, children’s activities, colorful clothing, accessories and crafts that are unique to Ukraine. There will be something for everybody with over 70 kiosks. You will also have the opportunity to learn much more about our Ukrainian history, traditions and up-to-date information on Ukraine’s defence of democracy.

As always, the entertainment includes some of the best talent that Ukraine has to offer. Headlining the event will be rock band Druha Rika, flying in from Zhytomyr, Ukraine, to entertain you. The exciting 2022 line-up will include over 200 talented performers, singers and dancers who will leave you in awe, showcasing the beauty and originality of the Ukrainian arts.

For connoisseurs of fine refreshments, the beer garden will be serving the limited-edition Volya (“Freedom”) beer brewed right here in Montreal. You can also sample other Ukrainian imported beverages. Plus, top Cirka Distilleries mixologist Gizmo Sirois will be on-site to dazzle you with some great cocktail-making exhibitions. Entrance to the park is free.

Alouettes Football Game – Festival Kickoff

For the first time ever, the festival is partnering with the Montreal Alouettes for a kickoff fundraiser in support of Ukrainian humanitarian aid. Tickets are available at only $25 for all Ukrainian newcomers, settled Ukrainians and all of their friends and fans (and that means YOU!). But hurry, the seats are limited. So purchase your tickets now! Not a football fan…no problem, as the cause is bigger than the game.

The theme is “Courage has two colors”. So be sure to wear blue and yellow and bring your Ukrainian flags. Meet us before the game for the official Montreal Ukrainian Festival tailgate party sponsored byVolya Beer on the corner of Pine and Parc Avenue.
