For over 50 years, the ballet inspired by the Hoffman tale has  been delighting  the hearts of children and grownups alike when The Nutcracker is presented presented in Montreal. Rediscover the grand, rich sets by Peter Horne, the stunning costumes by François Barbeau and the magical lighting by Nicolas Cernovitch, which turn these festivities conceived by Fernand Nault into a true extravaganza. Les Grands Ballets Orchestra performs the wonderful Tchaikovsky airs of this timeless classic.

Follow the young Clara and her Nutcracker Prince to the Land of Snow as she discovers the wonderful world of the King of Sweets and Cotton-Candy Angels, along with the delicious flavors of tea, coffee and chocolate.

One hour before each performance, actor Jacques Piperni offers a reading of Hoffmann’s tale to the audience.

Girls and boys in attendance between the age of 6 to 11 are eligible for a draw to become the Mouse of the Day! The lucky winner will then dress up as a mouse and join our dancers in the first act of the show. This is a unique opportunity to take part in the magic of The Nutcracker and live a unique behind the scenes experience of Les Grands Ballets’ timeless classic.
