THE 19th annual MONTREAL UKRAINIAN FESTIVAL

A spectacular 3-day celebration of the rich heritage and culture of the Ukrainian community in Montreal. There will be singing, dancing and over 60 kiosks. The biggest festival yet!! Come and enjoy yourself, and extend the good times.

FRIDAY, Sept. 7th, 7:00 pm  Festivities begin at 3270 Beaubien where we bring the outdoor PUB atmosphere indoors!

Two bands on stage, two singing groups, food, drink and the inauguration of the New Ukrainian Beer, created by Labrosse exclusively for the Montreal Ukrainian festival VOLYA!

SATURDAY, Sept. 8th, at noon, over 120 performers, 60 kiosks featuring all kinds of Ukrainian delicacies and an interactive FASHION SHOW with unique designs from Ukraine. A timely and beautiful Photograph Exhibition called “IMMIGRANTS” by Ustia from Edmonton. A supervised kids’ corner will be on hand with face painting, craft making, work-shops and entertainment! FUN FOR ALL.

On the “Desjardins Stage”, enjoy acrobatic Ukrainian dancers, choirs, musicians and performers from Kiev, Lviv, Dnipropetrovsk all over Canada and the US. At night get ready to welcome on the DESJARDINS stage the super group MAD HEADS! The BAR will still be open.

SUNDAY, Sept. 9th, MORE FOOD and more singing, dancing and shopping! During the grand finale in the late afternoon, enjoy the world renowned Vasyl Popadiuk and “The Papa Duke Band”. If you’ve seen him last year, I know you’re coming! From 11am to 4pm.
