Romantic Evening

The chamber music ensembles will go crescendo tonight! With Barry Shiffman, Martin Beaver, famous first violin of the Tokyo Quartet for ten years, will play the Mozart’s Duet No.2 for violin and viola. Denis Brott will join them in the Serenade Op. 10, the only string trio by Dohnányi. And with Jon Kimura Parker, the musicians will conclude this recital by playing the Quartet for piano and strings No. 3, Op. 60 by Brahms.

Montreal Chamber Music Festival The 19th edition of the Montreal Chamber Music Festival will present 22 concerts from May 8th through 31st at St. George’s Church at the corner of Peel St. and de la Gauchetière in the heart of Montreal; home to the Festival for the past four years, this venue is a beautiful example of English Gothic Revival architecture in Canada and offers an intimate setting of 500 cushioned seats with excellent acoustics.
