Choeur classique de Montréal presents

Fauré / Puccini

On May 18, 2024, the concert will feature an array of works by Gabriel Fauré, followed by a quasi-operatic mass by Giacomo Puccini. The soloists and Chœur classique de Montréal choristers will combine their voices to bring to life a wide variety of pieces sure to delight the audience.

Gabriel Fauré’s Psaume 136 – an early and unfortunately little-known work – and his Requiem, along with other pieces, will be followed by Giacomo Puccini’s Messa di Gloria. Also, an early work, this mass evokes the operatic effects that would later be heard during performances of the Italian composer’s operas.
