The Great Pumpkin Ball – October 2 to November 1, Botanical Garden LiveEvents October 4, 2015 5299 Halloween at the Garden means learning all about pumpkins and squashes while having fun! Spend an unforgettable day in the company of Esmeralda the witch and watch Pépo the pumpkin’s play telling the story of his origin. Discover squashes and gourds in a kaleidoscope of colours and shapes, and pop into the Little Monsters Courtyard to try your hand at various games of skill. Esmeralda watches over the Botanical Garden alongside her cat Abracadabra and her broom Gontran. She is surrounded by over 800 pumpkins decorated by numerous students and citizens taking part in the Garden’s pumpkin-decorating contest.
