Freedom – A Tribute to Nelson Mandela

Country: France

Brezac presents Freedom, a tribute to the life and exceptional achievements of Nelson Mandela, a man who undeniably marked the 20th century. This display is a pyromusical journey with many creative twists and turns evoking Mandela’s childhood in the Transkei, the dark period of apartheid and his imprisonment at Robben Island, the beginning of the mobilization and his release, and finally the birth of the Rainbow Nation, a sign of hope for the entire country. Established in 1965, Brezac Artifices is recognized worldwide thanks to the remarkable creativity of its pyromusical and multimedia displays. In 2013, Brezac won first place at the International Fireworks Competition of Macao. One of the company’s most memorable shows remains the fireworks display for the 50th anniversary of Indonesia’s Independence, which dazzled an audience of close to a million and a half people. It’s a fifth presence in Montreal for Brezac who won silver in 2006 and bronze in 2010.
