Kruger Products, a leading Canadian paper manufacturer based in Montreal, has announced the return of its Kruger Big Assist program for the third year, aimed at helping Canadian families overcome barriers to participate in hockey. Kruger Products has committed over $600,000 to date to make the sport more accessible and affordable for families in need. This year, six Canadian minor hockey associations will receive a $25,000 Kruger Big Assist donation each, which will subsidize player enrollment fees for those in need.

The Flin Flon Minor Hockey Association in Manitoba was recently announced to receive an additional $50,000 Second Assist grant to foster diversity, equity, and inclusion in hockey with the aim of building a more equitable and inclusive future for kids in the sport.

The six winning associations were chosen based on their efforts to reach out to families in need of financial assistance, support youth to achieve their dreams through hockey, and encourage diversity and inclusion in their community. The winning associations are Flin Flon Minor Hockey Association, Knights Hockey Club, Greater Miramichi Female Hockey Association, Moss Park Hockey League, Gloucester-Cumberland Girls Hockey Association, and the Association de Hockey Mineur Pointe-Aux-Trembles here in Montreal.
