In the footsteps of Rumi – June 8, Bourgie Hall LiveEvents June 2, 2019 1443 In the footsteps of Rumi Constantinople & Ghalia Benali (Tunisia-Belgium) This performance takes us on a journey into the shimmering world of the timeless poems of Rumi, the great Master of Love. Rhythms, dances, songs of love and lament, divine mysticism and wonder are omnipresent in the Arabic & Farsi verses of Rumi, set to music by Kiya Tabassian with the collaboration of Ghalia Benali. Created for an ensemble composed of Arabic, Persian and Turkish instrument virtuosos, this concert showcases musicians from different parts of Canada, Jordan and Tunisia-Belgium.
