The breathtaking, fiery virtuosity of Rachmaninoff’s famous Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini contrasts with the minimalism of John Adams’ Common Tones in Simple Time and the harmonies of his Harmonielehre. To celebrate Adams’ 70th birthday, the OSM is recording an album under the Decca label.
