HANDEL • Cantata Il delirio amoroso, HWV 99 • Water Music – Suite No. 1 in F Major, HWV 348 – Suite No. 3 in G Major, HWV 350 – Suite No. 2 in D Major, HWV 349 Leonardo García Alarcón, conductor The Agentinean conductor and harpsichordist, Leonardo Garcìa- Alarcòn, started giving recitals at age 6. At 15 he joined the Toccata Instrumentale ensemble, playing on period instruments. This allowed him to gain experience with basso continuo technique, and to work seriously on the harpsichord and organ. In 1997, he began studying with the Swiss harpsichordist Christiane Jaccottet at the Geneva Conservatory. At the same time, he completed his theory training at the CMA (Centre for Ancient Music) in Geneva. Joélle Harvey, soprano A native of Bolivar, New York, soprano Joélle Harvey is quickly becoming recognized as one of the most promising young talents of her generation. She is the recipient of a 2011 First Prize Award from the Gerda Lissner Foundation, a 2009 Sara Tucker Study Grant from the Richard Tucker Foundation, and a 2010 Encouragement Award (in honor of Norma Newton) from the George London Foundation.
