Dogbo gained international attention through his energetic performances and his ability to create compositions that resonate with the energy and richness of African culture. His performances often include traditional instruments like the balafon and ngomas, while incorporating elements of jazz, which helps him stand out in the musical landscape.

His collaborations include projects with jazz musicians, traditional music ensembles, and other afro-jazz artists. These experiences have contributed to enriching his style and expanding his audience.

He is recognized in the music industry for his talent and innovation. His contributions to afro-jazz music have earned him praise from critics and the public. In 2021, he released his debut album, Coubli, which means “to embark on an adventure” in his native language, Bété, at MUZ – the meeting place for Global music in Montreal.
