Micro ouvert autochtone – November 9-10, 2024 LiveEvents November 3, 2024 156 The 4th edition of Micro ouvert autochtone event will take place on November 9 and 10 at Place des Arts, from noon to 6:00pm. Micro ouvert autochtone is a large gathering showcasing Indigenous cultures, both traditional and contemporary. Curator and Inuit throat singer Nina Segalowitz has put together a truly people-focused artistic project, giving participants an opportunity to get to know each other better. “In Quebec there are 10 First Nations and Inuit. Our traditions have been carried from one generation to the next. On November 9 and 10, you will see, taste, listen to and experience our traditions in a contemporary setting. We bring with us our teachings from our elders and share them with the next generation. Our communities welcome you and encourage you to visit each table, meet different nations and bring home with you a taste of our cultures.” – Nina Segalowitz, 2023 and 2024 event curator Events include a craft fair, food tastings, storytelling, poetry readings, music performances, documentaries, and more!
