Los Cabos’ Captivating Art Scene

Behind San José del Cabo’s historical main street lies its Gallery District. In recent years this district has become the cultural center of Los Cabos with many high-end fine art galleries displaying original paintings, sculpture, photography, prints and jewelry by local, national and international contemporary artists. Visitors can walk through these colourful cobblestone backstreets and experience many different forms of artistic expression. The district is the result of the collaboration of 14 major galleries found in the area. Each gallery is a prominent member of the art association and dedicates a large amount of time and energy into creating an inspiring atmosphere for visitors and locals alike.

Patricia Mendoza

Patricia Mendoza’s art gallery is full of contemporary art. Patricia is born and raised in the Baja region and her life-long artistic passion is one of the driving forces of the Art scene in San Jose del Cabo. Her beautiful gallery provides Mexican artists a platform to display their work reflecting the feelings and visions of their country. Ivan Guaderrama

Born in Chihuahua Mexico, Guaderrama had always been inspired to become a successful artist and opened his first art gallery in 2005. Today, his San Jose del Cabo Gallery is a collection of paintings, sculptures, and interactive art work that offers an exceptional visitor experience crossing conventional barriers. The Ivan Guaderrama’s App allows for augmented reality whether his art is being viewed at home or in galleries. Ivan’s vision is that his gallery shares God’s message of Love, Faith and Hope through art.

Frank Arnold

Frank Arnold is an abstract figurative painter and sculptor whose work is considered to be both personal and universal. Frank divides his time between his working studios in San Jose del Cabo and Mexico City, Mexico. Enrique Bascón

Bascón, is an interdisciplinary artist born in Bilbao, Spain. He studied fine arts at the Universidad del País Vasco and then went on to take a series of different workshops on classical figuration in his homeland of Spain and the United States. It was these travels, as well as many others, that serve as the inspiration for work. He now calls Cabo San Lucas his home and his works can be found in private collections around the world.

Julian Garcia Forcelledo

Julian Garcia Forcelledo became a painter in 1972, and 7 years later added sculpting to his creative arsenal. He has been dedicated to pushing the boundaries in both art forms. He uses materials to help create masterpieces that echo his ideas, feelings and interpretations of the beauty that surrounds us. Julian says “Making art is the closest thing I have to the inner universe.”
