35th L’International des Feux Loto-Québec

A First Walk on the Moon

To the rhythm of classic hits from the 60s, this pyromusical display is an invitation to go back in time, on July 20, 1969, and celebrate that night when Man first walked on the Moon.

Country: Canada

Fifty years ago, tonight, on July 20, 1969, Man walked on the moon for the very first time. These first footsteps marked our recent history. It was a decade when all seemed possible, when everything was reinvented. Those were the years of the Apollo missions that made humankind dream. BEM Feux d’artifice invites audiences to embark on a journey down memory lane with a pyromusical display punctuated with songs that have “travelled” well through time, including music from the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Doors, and David Bowie. Let’s celebrate Man’s first footsteps on the Moon.

It’s a fourth participation in L’International des Feux Loto-Québec for B.E.M. Fireworks that won the Bronze Jupiter in 2005 with its “Au Pied du Courant” display. The firm also created the opening night fireworks of L’International des Feux Loto-Québec in 2015. Established in Coteau-du-Lac in Montérégie, BEM Feux d’artifice is one of the most important players in pyrotechnics in Canada. Every year, the firm collaborates with companies around the world to create innovative professional pyrotechnical effects as well as new fireworks displays that dazzle audiences. BEM Feux d’artifice is a family business that performs yearly between 80 to 100 pyrotechnical displays across Canada. In 2020, the firm will celebrate 50 years in the fireworks business.

The fireworks start at 10 pm, rain or shine.
