DIE FLEDERMAUS by Johann Stauss II
with the McGill Symphony Orchestra

Opera McGill marks 60 years of training, mentoring, and nurturing young artists with a celebratory season featuring a glittering production of Die Fledermaus, a beloved and lighthearted masterwork by Johann Strauss II. This glamorous new production is inspired by Klimt, featuring dramatic sets and costumes in black, white and gold. In celebration of Opera McGill’s anniversary season, there will be cameo appearances from guests and alumni. Stage and music direction is by Patrick Hansen, who will conduct the McGill Symphony Orchestra. Die Fledermaus marks the first time in over 10 years that Opera McGill has moved to a new major Montreal venue, with performances taking place at the Monument National’s Salle Ludger-Duvernay.
