Festival International de Jazz de Montreal presents

Vic Vogel and the Jazz Big Band

An important figure on the Quebec jazz scene, Vic Vogel holds the record for Festival visits, and has performed in every conceivable configuration—from trio to Big Band to nonet—and with a most remarkable array of collaborators including Mel Tormé, Maynard Ferguson, Oliver Jones and Karen Young. Now, our indefatigable Montreal pianist and bandleader honours us with a final victory-lap performance. Winner of the 1992 Oscar Peterson Award, Vic Vogel returns to throw a party for himself—and everyone!—accompanied by a crew of special guests, just in time to celebrate his 80th birthday!
