Montreal: Following the success of “Le Roc Fleuri,” developer MC Finance begins the construction of its new downtown project, the ‘’Roccabella’’ in front of the Bell Centre.

In the heart of the city, the Roccabella is located on René-Lévesque West between De la Montagne and Drummond Streets. In close proximity to many famous cultural sites, metro stations, universities and restaurants, Roccabella enjoys an ideal location to take advantage of the city’s many attractions.

Within this area, which has been very active since the announcement of several other projects, Roccabella is the first to begin construction.

Roccabella and its 1-, 2- or 3-bedroom units are designed by the Montreal firm Beïque Legault Thuot Architects. A modern and sophisticated approach combining glass and aluminium was selected for the design exterior of the towers. This idea is also found inside each unit, through luxurious finishes such as Italian-design kitchens and walk-in closets. All units are equipped with very large windows thanks to the curtain wall window systems.

The first two floors form Roccabella’s base and will host several commercial spaces while offering residents exclusive access to many amenities, such as two terraces, an indoor pool in winter which will open in the summer, a sauna, a multifunction reception hall and a fitness room.

How will the project progress?

Roccabella will be developed in two phases. Phase I will include 5 levels of underground parking, 50,000 square feet of commercial space and a 40 story residential tower to be completed in 2015. Phase II will be the second 40 story tower.
