This young prodigy is bound to deliver a performance filled with discovery and delight. Performed alongside the Ensemble Classico-Moderne and under the direction of Francis Choinière, Isabella’s rendition of The Four Seasons is a breath of fresh air. Her fiery take on Astor Piazzolla’s The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires will immerse audiences in the sensual universe of Argentine tango. Isabella d’Éloize Perron started playing the violin at the age of 2 and gave her first concerts at age 5. Her guest appearances include Orchestre Métropolitain and the I Musici String Ensemble, all before the age of 10; she has also appeared as a soloist with the Peninsula Symphony (San Francisco, CA), with the National Theater Orchestra (Prague National Theater), the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, the Vancouver Symphony, the Lethbridge Symphony and many other orchestras across Canada and the United States. Isabella’s charisma captivates her audience. Claude Gingras of La Presse described her as “a violinist who plays with the assurance of professional musicians, with momentum and accuracy following a concert at the Pierre-Charbonneau Center, in which she played for more than a thousand people (she was only 10 years old). Between 2010 and 2017, Isabella d’Éloize Perron studied at the Conservatory of Music at Mount Royal University in Alberta with violinist Bill Van der Sloot. She was awarded many prizes and distinctions: First Prize at the International Radio Competition for Young Performers Concertino Praga organized by Czech Radio under the patronage of the EBU (European Union of Radio and Television), which earned her a tour in the Czech Republic; Second Prize at the Klein International String Competition (San Francisco), First Prize at the National Music Festival (Canada), First Prize and Highest Score in all categories at the Canadian Music Competition. Recently, Isabella won the prestigious Orford Musique First Prize 2021. She was named Révélation Radio-Canada 2020-2021, and was awarded the Canada Council for the Arts – Michael Measures Prize 2020. In June 2019, she earned one of the Grand Prizes at the Stepping Stone of Canadian Music Competition in Calgary. Prior to that, the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra proclaimed her Emerging Artist for their 2017-2018 season.
