Banff Mountain Film Festival
World Tour in Quebec

For four decades now, the directors of the world’s best adventure films have gathered in the heart of Banff National Park, submitting the filmed records of their spectacular expeditions to the Banff Mountain Film Festival jury.

A touring selection of the best entries is then presented in some 40 countries. Our team in Quebec makes a selection from among the hundred or so films in the program of the Banff Mountain Film Festival, held every year in November. This final selection of short and medium-length films constitutes the line-up for screenings held in the middle of winter all across Quebec.

With its varied program line-up as well as the high quality of the imagery and narration, this event is a one-of-a-kind experience for fans of mountaineering, the outdoors and adventure. Tickets always go fast, with some cities selling out days and even weeks before the screenings, so act fast!

With close than 400 films in competition, the Banff Mountain Film Festival remains the
largest film event of its kind in the world.

Practical information:
Length of each screening: 3 hours, including intermission and draw.
Doors open 1 hour before the first film.
Films are screened in their original version with English subtitles (if needed) to preserve their original atmosphere.
The line-up of films is the same for all screenings.
*Radical Reels night are part of the Banff Mountain Film Festival Québec Tour. Films are different and they are presented in their original version. For 2020, it will be presented in Montreal on March 13 2020 at Pierre-Mercure (Centre Pierre-Péladeau) venue.
