Built in 1739; Westmount’s Hurtubise House is open for afternoon tea and a tour in the summerAfternoon Cup of Tea and history at Westmount’s Hurtubise House The Montrealer July 19, 2019 2805 Hurtubise House The Canadian Heritage of Quebec’s (CHQ) summer launching has started smoothly! This summer, the Hurtubise House will be open again to the public who are also invited to our “Afternoon Cup of Tea”; which includes an opportunity to learn more on the oldest farmhouse in Westmount built in 1739. History lovers and the public are invited to discover this magnificent building classified as a heritage site by the provincial government in 2004. Please join us for a tea break complimented by a guided tour of this historical house with a classical architecture and where many generations of the large French/American Hurtubise family lived. Visitors will also have the opportunity to discover the rustic aspect of the site, the vegetable garden and commemorative flowers; a testament to the past of this farmhouse. Tea and cookies will be served at the heart of this unique ancestral decor in a friendly and relaxing atmosphere. This activity will take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from July 2nd to August 15, 2019 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Hurtubise House, 563 Côte-Saint-Antoine Road (corner Victoria) in Westmount. The entrance fee is $10, including the “Cup of Tea & Biscuits” activity.
