A Taste of the Caribbean (TOTC) is Quebec’s premier Caribbean cultural event.

A Taste Of The Caribbean – Dance Edition: an exotic feast for the senses!

From its beginnings in 1999, TOTC’s mission has been to promote the colorful diversity of Caribbean culture in Montreal. The event features an array of food, beverages, music and arts representing some of the 25 nation islands in the Caribbean including Haiti, Jamaica, Cuba, Barbados, Trinidad & Tobago, St. Vincent, Grenada and many others!

TOTC allows visitors to taste their way through the islands by way of local restaurants, international guest chefs, cooking and mixology demonstrations and spectacular musical performances from homegrown talent to internationally known, Grammy-Award winning performers.

Dance Edition

Celebrating its 19th year, TOTC 2018 – The Dance Edition, is a four-day cultural feast of food, music and arts from over 20 Caribbean nations including Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago, Barbados, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Cuba and many more!

Explore the rich Caribbean dances

With several free workshops offered daily, we invite you to come and learn new moves or polish them.  Learn the origins of the dances, some specific to each island culture. Unique rhythms and steps will have you dancing for hours and hours.

The Rum Zone is also back this year where it allows you to sample various categories of rums and a variety of Caribbean tapas.

From Jamaica’s famous jerk chicken to the spiced Rums of Barbados and Grenada, we invite you to come and explore the islands through your taste buds!
