Lynn MacNeil (in blue top) and her friends in Vision4Women are organizing their first event to raise funds for West Island Women’s ShelterVision4Women to host May 3 fundraiser for West Island Women’s Shelter The Montrealer April 26, 2017 4403 Vision4Women Lynn MacNeil, a long time financial columnist for the Montrealer, a Montréal native, and busy mother of three, had a long standing feeling that she wanted to contribute more of her time to the community. She found that friends and colleagues who likewise led fortunate and busy lives, also identified with the feeling that women such as themselves could make a positive impact in their communities. From this core idea, Vision4Women was created by a diverse group of women in the West Island, with a mission to help women grow together through initiatives designed to empower, educate and inspire. Vision4Women is a registered non-profit organization. Their inaugural event “Igniting Possibilities” is a fundraiser on May 3, 2017 for the West Island Women’s Shelter, one of Montréal’s front line services for domestic violence. Highlighted speakers include New York Times best-selling author Miranda Esmonde-White, Lisa Brookman, founder of Wise Women Canada, and Yolande James, former MNA and political commentator. Join them and women from across Montreal on May 3, 2017 at Pierrefonds Cultural Center to experience these dynamic speakers. Tickets at www.vision4women.ca
