John Fogerty

Born and raised in California, John Fogerty first achieved fame as lead singer, guitarist and songwriter for Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR) and later as a successful solo artist. From the late 1960’s to the early 1970’s, CCR acquired 8 gold records and tallied an impressive list of hits, including: “Proud Mary,” “Bad Moon Rising,” “Green River,” “Down on the Corner,” “Travelin’ Band,” “Fortunate Son,” “Who’ll Stop the Rain,” “Up Around the Bend,” and “Lookin’ Out My Back Door.”

As a solo artist, John Fogerty enjoyed success with releases in the next four decades. In 1975, his self-named album John Fogerty, yielded the hit “Rockin’ All Over the World.” Centerfield was released in 1985, and his 1997 release Blue Moon Swamp earned him his first Grammy Award. Later albums, such as 2009’s The Blue Ridge Rangers Rides Again and  2013’s Wrote a Song For Everyone, featured collaborations with Bruce Springsteen, Brad Paisley, Foo Fighters, Bob Seeger and a long list of other notable artists.

Rolling Stone Magazine has ranked Fogerty number 40 on their list of 100 Greatest Guitarists and number 72 on their list of 100 Greatest Singers.
