The Trio Fibonacci has been guided by some of the world’s most respected chamber musicians, including Menahem Pressler, members of the Alban Berg, Guarneri and Vermeer String Quartets, and by their mentors Eberhard Feltz and Michael Vogler in Berlin. W.A Mozart: Trio in G major K.564 Arvo Pärt: “Mozart-Adagio” for trio (1992/2005) Hildegard von Bingen: “O viriditas digiti Dei” for violin and electronics Olivier Messiaen: Praise to the eternity of Jesus for cello and piano (1944) Jean Sibelius: Trio in D major “Korpo” (Canadian premiere) Mysticism has inspired musicians since the dawn of humanity. Be it the esoteric teachings of freemasonry in the works of Mozart and Sibelius, or the visions of the medieval abbess, poet and composer Hildegarde von Bingen, this concert will take you on a fascinating voyage through the centuries.
