Maestro Yannick Nézet-Séguin and the Orchestre Métropolitain perform Schubert’s Symphony No. 9 “The Great”  (March 26); while African diva Angélique Kidjo Sings Glass with the OSM (March 19). All concerts at the Maison Symphonique.

EXHIBITIONS

The Montréal Museum of Fine Arts world premieres the Joyce Wieland: Heart On retrospective celebrating the subversive and politically-engaged work of Wieland (1930-1998). Through some 100 works, it delves into her multifaceted practice – covering drawing, painting, experimental film, textile and plastic assemblages – that spans some 40 years. Runs to May 4.

ART SOUTERRAIN

Artists from around the world are showcased in the 17th edition of the Art Souterrain festival when part of Montreal’s famed Underground Pedestrian Network is transformed into a four-kilometre-long contemporary art gallery from March 15 to April 6.

The 43rd edition of The International Festival of Films on Art runs from March 13 to 23 in various cinemas. Le FIFA is dedicated to the promotion and distribution of films on art and media arts.

CIRCUS ARTS

The only presenter specializing in contemporary circus in North America, La TOHU in their state-of-the-art circular performance hall presents the “dance-juggling” show JUVENTUD Manifeste Jonglé by Belgium’s NDE Company from March 12 to 16.

COMEDY

Comedy legend Lewis Black and his Goodbye Yeller Brick Road, The Final Tour (March 22), and internationally-celebrated Laval homeboy Rachid Badouri (March 27) both headline the Olympia Theatre. Comedy icon Kevin Hart (March 13) and comedy superstar Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias (March 28) headline the Bell Centre.

POP MUSIC

Hotly-anticipated American country-rock band The Red Clay Strays at MTELUS (March 15), and Australian pop icon Kylie Minogue at the Bell Centre (March 30).

The CARRY ON: The Songs of Laurel Canyon Benefit Concert at Le 9e on March 13 features local luminaries Howard Bilerman, Shane Murphy, Jasmine Bleile, Chris Velan, members of El Coyote, Brad Barr, Murray Lightburn of The Dears and Matthew Woodley of Plants and Animals.

Iconic British neo prog band Marillion are performing just eight Marillion Weekends around the world in 2025, including at the Olympia Theatre from March 28 to 30.
