Holst’s The Planets

Experience the dazzling performance of Holst’s epic suite, The Planets, with 90 musicians and 100 choristers from L’Orchestre Philharmonique et Chœur des Mélomanes (OPCM), under the direction of Francis Choinière.

The Orchestre Philharmonique et choeur des mélomanes (OPCM) is Montréal’s first symphony orchestra and choir founded in 40 years dedicated to inspiring a new generation of music lovers, or mélomanes, through large-scale vocal and orchestral concerts. Since its founding in 2016, the OPCM has reached more than 100,000 spectators and has performed on world-class stages alongside internationally renowned artists. The ensemble has participated in several concerts at the Bell Centre, Place Bell, and the Canadian Tire Centre alongside artists including Andrea Bocelli, Sarah Brightman, Hans Zimmer and Ramin Djawadi.

The performance will also include the powerful Gloria by the British composer, Karl Jenkins, putting on display the magesty of the OPCM’s full choir.
