A work to be discovered or listened to again and again for those who have hard it before, this oriatorio is a jewel in the crown of late 18th Century classical music. Consisting of three parts dedicated successively to the elements, the fauna and to the human being, this epic text brings together the nuances and aspects that make up our universe. Artists Sinfonia de Montréal Since its creation in 2001, Sinfonia de Montréal has been an orchestra made up of musicians who are committed to introducing people to the great symphonic repertoire. Founded by a group of former musicians from the Montreal Youth Symphony Orchestra (OSJM) and Louis Lavigueur, Sinfonia now has more than 70 musicians. Combining the pleasure of playing together and musical excellence, Sinfonia presents the greatest works of the symphonic repertoire. Louis Lavigueur C.Q., conductor Musician, conductor and teacher, Louis Lavigueur is one of the most respected and accomplished musicians in Quebec. His experiences as a flautist and singer led him to what is today an illustrious career as a choir and orchestra conductor, both in his native province and internationally. In addition to Sinfonia, Louis Lavigueur also directs the Montreal Youth Symphony Orchestra, the Montreal Polyphonic Choir and the Montreal Classical Choir.
