Arion Baroque Orchestra presents

“Play the Oboe, Sound the Musette!”

Throughout an original and diverse musical journey, during which recorder, oboe and hurdy-gurdy will be highlighted in turn, Arion Baroque Orchestra and their artistic director, Mathieu Lussier, bring to life French, Swiss and German Christmas carols by Michel-Richard Delalande and Michel Corrette while presenting rarely heard writings of Nicolas Chédeville and Bonaventure Gilles. A suite by Colin de Blamont, dedicated to the Saturnalia, the Roman winter solstice festivities, closes a colorful and virtuosic seasonal program featuring Tobie Miller (hurdy-gurdy), Vincent Lauzer (recorder) and Daniel Lanthier (oboe).
