Like the name suggests, they share and are proud of their American heritage and citizenship. Each year, the club hosts a fundraiser for a selected non-profit organization. This year the funds raised will benefit Our Harbour, an organization that offers caring, cost-effective and long-term supported housing for people living with mental illness. The event will be at the popular and elegant Olympia Reception Restaurant in Dollard des Ormeaux. Ample space for free parking. At $100 per person, it promises to be an excellent value in support of a worthy cause. The evening includes a delicious buffet dinner, dancing, a Silent Auction, Raffles and in keeping with the Alice In Wonderland theme – Whimsy! Local musical favourites, Cadillac Music will bring their high energy Rock & Soul Revue of classic hits for an unforgettable evening of dancing and sing-along. The band’s repertoire includes favourite Top Ten Hits such as; The Beatles’ She Loves You, I Wanna Hold Your Hand, and Please Please Me, The Four Tops’ classic hit Baby I Need Your Lovin, Neil Sedaka’s Calendar Girl, his doo wop hit Breakin’ Up Is Hard To Do along with Do You Love Me (The Contours). Drummer Richard Wills does a fine job on the Righteous Brother’s hit, You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’. The guys crank out an enthusiastic Blue Suede Shoes (Elvis). Audiences always join in to sing everybody’s favourite My Girl by The Temptations. I Got You by James Brown gets everyone moving and Love Train by The O’Jays has proven to be a terrific crowd pleaser at every show. Wherever Cadillac Music plays, the audience enjoys the performance while singing along with songs that were the soundtrack of our youth. They’ve added some ‘new’ hit songs from the 60s and 70s to their repertoire, and are looking forward to performing Frankie Valli’s Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You; Then You Can Tell Me Goodbye, The Casinos; Happy Birthday Sweet Sixteen, Neil Sedaka; It’s Not Unusual by Tom Jones.
