We All Fall Down presents

Dans les bras de Morphée

Dans les bras de Morphée explores the realm of the subconscious, plunging into a strange, playful choreographic universe where the limits of reality are perpetually being redefined. Based on lucid dream techniques and reoccuring dream imagery, this creation for young audiences is centered on the surreal and fantastic worlds that we visit in the night.

Dans les bras de Morphée, in the mists of slumber, images emerge. The dreamer ventures forth. He travels. His dreams lead him to encounter bursts of madness, a fabulous bestiary made up of masks and lighting effects, and ingenious references to video games and comic books. Giving free rein to her imagination, the choreographer orchestrates a surprising and whimsical group piece in which the boundaries of reality are perpetually redefined. This work is a perfect illustration of dance’s striking ability to embody the fantastic and cast it into the waking world. Dans les bras de Morphée, whether we’re big or small, the night plays tricks on us … magic tricks!
