The Holographic Garden is a relaxing oasis in the shape of a butterfly with open wings set in the middle of an urban garden, and is one of eight installations that are part of the “I Love Working Downtown” initiative. The goal of this initiative is to make the return to work that much more inviting and give the downtown core back some of its effervescence and creativity. The butterfly is made from colourful mirror material that produces a holographic effect, as well as local plant life composed of air plants. This inspiring space invites workers to integrate art and nature into their daily lives, even right in the heart of Montreal’s business sector. “With creative and inspiring projects like this one by Collectif Escargo and Multicolore, downtown Montreal will slowly but surely find its distinct character again, along with something new,” says Chantale Rouleau, Deputy Minister of Transport and Minister Responsible for the Montreal Region. “Workers and residents can now enjoy returning downtown and rediscovering all it has to offer. The Quebec Government is working in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal to accelerate this rejuvenation by supporting initiatives like this.” “As more and more workers are returning downtown, we’re excited to support this new experience for visitors,” says Michel Leblanc, President and CEO of the Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal. “The Holographic Garden is the result of a meeting between creative, talented artists and committed real-estate developers. It’s a peaceful space in the heart of our business sector, and the perfect place to stop and replenish. I invite all workers to head down and take a look.” “We are delighted that the Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal and the Quebec Government gave us this opportunity to add our expertise to the I Love Working Downtown initiative,” says Pascal Lefebvre, Cofounder, President, and CEO of Multicolore. “It’s also been a real pleasure working with Collectif Escargo and ensuring their original idea came to life. The vitality of Montreal’s downtown core is key to the cultural milieu, and we firmly believe in the benefits that art and experiential experiences have on everyone. We invite all workers and tourists to come down and lose themselves a moment at the Holographic Garden in the Tour CIBC.” Come visit and discover “Holographic Garden – The Other Side of the Screen” at Tour CIBC, 1155 René-Lévesque Blvd. West, Montreal (Bonaventure Métro).
