TOHU presents

Bromance

by Barely Methodical Troupe

Bold, moving, exhilarating, mixing humor and physical agility, including amazing acrobatic and hand-to-hand acts, and overt choreographic winks, Bromance is an avant-garde physical tour de force that explores the relationships of friendship between men. Underneath the muscles and strength of the three acrobats, we can glimpse their insecurities and awkward tenderness, hidden by their overconfidence. A show that will satisfy the most demanding of spectators!

“A touching, thoughtful show about being male.” **** – The Financial Times
“One of the most charming circus shows. Astonishing circus skills” **** – Timeout, Edinburgh

Bromance won the Total Theatre & Jacksons Lane Award for Circus at the Edinburgh Festival in 2014, opened the London International Mime Festival in 2015 and was featured in Montréal Complètement Cirque in 2016. The show has toured nationally and internationally ever since.

Barely Methodical Troupe is an experimental acrobatic circus company. Fusing Hand-to-Hand and Cyr wheel with parkour, b-boying, tricking and contemporary dance giving a fresh perspective on the material they create. BMT’s first show BROMANCE opened at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2014, opened the London International Mime Festival in 2015 and has toured internationally ever since, most recently completing a 3 week run at the New Victory Theatre in New York.
