The first part of The Nutcracker will be replaced by The Enchanted Gift. First part: The Enchanted Gift, a new creation by Ivan Cavallari – 30 minutes Second part: Clara’s Journey, the second act of The Nutcracker by Fernand Nault – 46 minutes In the first part, a brand new creation with a childlike innocence and joyous cheerfulness! Ivan Cavallari, artistic director of the company, lets his imagination run wild and offers The Enchanted Gift, a fairy tale for the whole family, set to the music of Heitor Villa-Lobos. Christmas Eve finds Professor Christmas in his laboratory. This year he’d like to be able to offer children toys that they won’t get tired of in a hurry. Struck by an ingenious idea, he immediately sets to work and succeeds in creating…toys that come alive and perform! What follows is entertainment of every sort, featuring well-known characters from various ballets: Harlequin, for example, and Puss in Boots, the doll Coppelia and a number of others, who dance before his dazzled eyes. In the second part of the program, discover the wonder and enchantment of the second act of The Nutcracker by Fernand Nault and Tchaikovsky with Clara’s Journey. Let yourself be carried away to the sound of the “Flower Waltz” and the “Mirliton Dance”. The Nutcracker has transformed into Prince Charming and takes Clara to the Kingdom of Sweets, where the little girl, along with the King of Sweets, discovers a world of happiness and fantasy.
