Bourgie Hall presents

Arion Baroque Orchestra: Complete Cycle of Cantatas by J. S. Bach

Performances of the complete cycle of J.S. Bach’s prodigious sacred cantatas continue! As part of the complete Bach cantata series produced by Arte Musica at Bourgie Hall, the Arion Baroque Orchestra presents four wonderful cantatas that aptly illustrate the cantor’s sublime musical science and sensitivity. Trumpet, horns, oboes, violin, and strings join in turn with a quartet of voices to express the transition from fear to hope, from night to light. The great master’s music triumphantly resounds in an abundance of sumptuous choruses, an infinite variety of instrumental colours and unsurpassed melodic depth.
