However, he didn’t find is his passion for jazz until his senior year in high school when his band director handed him a solo piano recording of Oscar Peterson. Once he listened to the recording he knew jazz would be in his life forever. After graduating Dartmouth College with a B.A., B.E. in Electrical Engineering he decided to pursue his music career and began working at the legendary Cotton Club in New York City. Since then Taurey has performed all over the world in different venues and festivals. Some of which include The Blue Note NYC, the Detroit Jazz Festival, the New Orleans Jazz Festival, the JVC Jazz Festival.
