Founded in 1988, Montreal’s Repercussion Theatre is best known for its annual Shakespeare-in-the-Park  summer tour. This year has followed a new format, made up of spontaneous, pop-up style performances, livestreams, workshops and sonnet videos. Two exciting sonnet workshops will be taking place on Zoom next week.

Write your Own Sonnet / Écrire votre propre sonnet
Tuesday, August 10th 1:00-2:00pm
Interested in learning more about the sonnet form and writing your own? In this workshop you’ll be guided through understanding the English sonnet form and given the tools you need to write your own. All ages can join in on this special and free Zoom workshop as part of Repercussion’s “Summer of Sonnets” offerings.

Appreciating Sonnets / Apprécier les sonnets
Wednesday, August 11th  5:30-6:30 pm
In this workshop you’ll explore reading, understanding and performing Shakespeare’s sonnets, and learn about their form and historical context. We’ll also touch on the French sonnet form. All ages can join in on this special and free Zoom workshop as part of Repercussion’s “Summer of Sonnets” offerings.
