Le Club de Golf Manoir Richelieu is first and foremost a stunningly beautiful course, elevated so that many of the holes have panoramic views of the St. Lawrence River as a backdrop to the recently rebuilt course. Golfers are met at the main entrance to the hotel, clubs already loaded in their waiting cart. A short drive up the Panoramic Trail brings the golfers to the new clubhouse, practice facilities and departure points. The course and its infrastructure received a four-year $10million+ investment that began in 2002.

personable Director of Golf for Le Club de Golf Le Manoir Richelieu

Golf Course Ranking recognized the high quality of the course and the overall experience at Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu. The Canadian magazine ranked Le Manoir as the Best Golf Course in Canada in the “Resort” category and awarded it the double-platinum medal, which is the magazine’s highest distinction in the category.

Jean-Philippe Moffet is the high-energy Director of Golf, responsible for all aspects of this lovely course and clubhouse. The St. Laurent, Richelieu and Tadoussac are each a 9-hole course, and Jean-Philippe explained that when played in combinations, golfers can enjoy three different 18-hole configurations. “We offer a unique golf experience here at Le Manoir Richelieu, beginning when we pick up our golfers and their clubs right at the hotel. The view is an important part of our golf experience, and it begins when they drive their carts up the Panoramic Trail.”

From the Gold Tees (long) the St. Laurent is 3,178 yards; the Richelieu is 3,138 yards; and the Tadoussac is 2,918 yards. Combined with the uneven terrain and strategically placed bunkers, it’s a course that will provide a satisfying challenge to most golfers. The St. Laurent is the newest part, designed by Graham Cooke and Associates and was opened in 2005.

Golfers have an elevated tee area for practice shots, with jaw-dropping views of the St. Lawrence. The resort offers a variety of golf packages, in combination with 5 Star accommodations. Jean-Philippe notes; “Our mission is for our guests to have fun. With these beautiful views and our wonderful course – we want you to have fun here at Le Manoir Richelieu Golf Club!” says Jean-Philippe.

During a normal golf season, the clubhouse is open for breakfast and lunch and is situated so customers can enjoy the scenic vistas of the surrounding course fairways that descend from the hilltop starting point. This year however, and due to strict safety measures, the restaurant will be closed but a take-out service has been made available.

Some of the best golf weather lies ahead during later Summer and fall months and Jean-Philippe and his team look forward to welcoming golfers of all abilities to Le Club de Golf Le Manoir Richelieu.
