Inspired by the dream of creating an accessible and inclusive world and finding a cure for spinal cord injury, Rick Hansen set out on a journey that would make history – the Man In Motion World Tour.

From March 21, 1985 to May 22, 1987, Rick and his team wheeled over 40,000 km through 34 countries raising awareness about the potential of people with disabilities, creating accessible and inclusive communities, and finding a cure.

The Canadian Museum of History, located in Gatineau, Quebec, is the centre for research and public information on the human history of the country. This event is part of the “An Evening With…“ series of inspiring talks and performances featuring some of Canada’s most fascinating personalities.
