Distant Worlds: music from FINAL FANTASY

Back in Montreal for the first time since 2017, this one-night-only event will include a special tribute to the original Final Fanstasy VII, with Yoko Shimomura, composer of Final Fanstasy XV in attendance! Grammy®-winning conductor Arnie Roth leads the 100-piece Distant Worlds Philharmonic Orchestra and Chorus in a breathtaking performance of music from throughout the 30+ years of Final Fanstasy games, in front of spectacular HD video projections direct from game developer Square Enix.

Yoko Shimomura is a Japanese composer and pianist, primarily known for her work in video games. Shimomura has worked in the video game industry ever since graduating from the Osaka College of Music in 1988. After composing soundtracks to over 45 different games, Shimomura has become one of the biggest names in video game music industry.

Conductor Arnie Roth is a GRAMMY Award-winning artist known for his work with world renowned artists including Andrea Bocelli, Diana Ross, Il Divo, Jewel, Josh Groban, Charlotte Church, Patrick Stewart, Peter Cetera, Mannheim Steamroller, Pat Benatar and Dennis DeYoung. Mr. Roth has conducted most of the world’s greatest orchestra, including the London Symphony Orchestra, National Symphony, Royal Stockholm Philharmonic, Hollywood Bowl Philharmonic, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Dallas Symphony, Houston Symphony, San Francisco Symphony, Tokyo Philharmonic, Kansai Philharmonic, San Diego Symphony, Seattle Symphony, Royal Philharmonic, Czech National Philharmonic and the Sydney Symphony. He is well known in the world of video game music
