’77 MONTREAL:
THE ULTIMATE PUNK ROCK EXPERIENCE!
Here is some exciting info about the 3rd edition of the festival, taking place on Friday, July 26 on the île Ste-Helene side of Parc Jean-Drapeau in the newly renovated “Espace 67”!

‘77 MONTREAL is dedicated to curating the best in punk music to make sure fans are blown away by performances from some of their absolute favourite bands. This year, the festival is headlined by legendary acts like Bad Religion and Pennywise, plus festival goers can expect fiery sets from The Exploited, Cro-Mags, The Dirty Nil, Bigwig, OFF!, Avengers, Gutter Demons, and some Montreal favourites like Red Mass and The Lookout, and much more!

This is the first time festival goers will experience the celebrated punk rock party on the brand new site, which is now renovated and better than ever. The site is steps away from the metro and only a 15 minute ride from downtown. Plus, fans will have the opportunity to experience some of their favourite bands perform on massive stages with state-of-the-art lights and sound on an island in the middle of the St. Lawrence with spectacular views of the Montreal skyline!

Attendees can expect a wide array of food vendors to suit all tastes (including many of the famous favorite food trucks, concession stands and restaurants from the greater Montreal area) offering up a wide variety of dishes and local specialties, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. In addition, the YUL EAT Gardens will delight attendees with a full range of food and beverage options featuring pop-up restaurants from some local favourites. This gourmet haven offers signature dishes from Agrikol (Haitian cuisine), Street Monkeys (Cambodian tapas), Foodchain (fresh salads), and Grumman ‘78(Mexican cuisine).

The Marché aux Punx is a unique place where punk rock aficionados and casual fans can come to get some rare wares. The market is a sight to see, featuring a wide array of exhibitions, collectible merchandise and vintage vinyl for sale, complete with punk rock perspective and good vibes. Fans can chill out, get some food, and quench their thirst all while checking out the art and curiosities.

Punk rock is not just for adults. It’s all about the spirit of youth, so the ‘77 experience is very much geared for kids, too! There is FREE ADMISSION for kids 10 and under! Plus a family friendly Kids Zone where parents can enjoy some fun in the sun (and shade) with their kids while taking a break from the raucous music on stage.
