A Commanding Opening: Mahler’s Symphony of a Thousand

The OSM raises the curtain on its season with Mahler’s Symphony of a Thousand, a sweeping work for soloists, chorus and orchestra. With more than 350 people on stage, this symphony was described by Mahler as “the whole universe beginning to ring and resound.”
