July 29 at 6:30pm at Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier at Place Des Arts. Howie Mandel Howie started his career on a dare in Toronto in 1979. Since then, he has remained a constant force in show business. He is executive producer of many shows through his production company Alevy Productions, which has produced the series Take It All and Howie Do It for NBC, Deal With It for TBS and Mobbed for FOX, among others. He currently serves as a judge on NBC’s hit summer talent competition series, America’s Got Talent. Howie received an Emmy nomination for “Outstanding Host For A Reality or Reality-Competition Program” for Deal or No Deal and a Daytime Emmy nomination for “Outstanding Game Show Host” for the syndicated version of the show. Howie has become a mainstay of the American comedy scene. In 2009, Howie added another title to his resume, author, when he released his frank, funny, no-holds- barred memoir Here’s the Deal: Don’t Touch Me. Howie’s Emmy Award-nominated animated children series Bobby’s World ran eight seasons on FOX and now appears in syndication six days a week in 65 countries. Cedric The Entertainer Charismatic actor/ comedian Cedric “The Entertainer” is best known for his many crowd-pleasing performances in such hit films as Barbershop, Be Cool with John Travolta, Madagascar, Intolerable Cruelty with George Clooney, Johnson Family Vacation (the 2004 box office hit in which Cedric was both star and producer), and The Original Kings of Comedy (MTV’S phenomenally successful documentary feature directed by Spike Lee), to name a few. His universal appeal, versatility, and tremendous career successes spanning television, live performances, and film have solidified his standing as one of the premier entertainers in the world. Sasher Zomata Sasheer Zamata is a comedian, actress, writer and former cast member on NBC’s Saturday Night Live. She has appeared on TBS’s People of Earth, Amazon’s Transparent, Comedy Central’s Inside Amy Schumer, Netflix’s Bojack Horseman, SeeSo’s Night Train with Wyatt Cenac, voiced the role of Maisie in Nickelodeon’s Albert and Sally, in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, and appears in the features Yoga Hosers, Sleight, and Deidra & Laney Rob a Train on Netflix. She also serves as ACLU’s Celebrity Ambassador for Women’s Rights. Her one-hour standup comedy special, Pizza Mind, is available to watch on Seeso. Cristela Alonzo Cristela Alonzo made history in 2015 when she became the first Latina to create, produce and star in her own network sitcom, Cristela for ABC. During that same year, she split her time between LA and NYC to serve as one of ABC’s favorite guest hosts on their hit daytime talk show, The View. You can see her stand-up special, Lower Classy on Netflix. Cristela established herself in the stand-up world with her half hour special for Comedy Central and numerous appearances on Conan, The Late Show with David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. She was also one of the most requested comedians of all time in the college market, booking over 300 shows across the U.S. in three years. She has topped multiple comedy power-player lists including “Variety’s Top 10 Comics to Watch,” “Top 10 Comedy Acts to Watch” by LA Weekly, Time Out’s “Comics to Watch,” and “One of the 50 Comedians You Should and WILL Know” by Vulture Ron Funches Ron Funches is a stand-up comedian with a unique delivery and lovable demeanor. You just want to hug and squeeze him like a big stuffed bear. His easy going, inventive style sounds the way fresh chocolate chip cookies taste. Ron performs stand up all over the United States, impressing audiences everywhere. You may know Ron from NBC’s new show Powerless. Ron’s other television appearances include starring in NBC’s Undateable, a memorable guest star role on ABC’s black-ish, recurring roles on Comedy Central’s @midnight, The Kroll Show, and Drunk History. Ron has done multiple stand-up performances on Conan O’Brien Show and The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Ron’s voice-over credits include Bojack Horseman, Bob’s Burgers, Home and the Dreamworks animated film Trolls. Ron resides in Southern California. Orny Adams American comic Orny Adams has been touring all over the world for over twenty years. With hundreds of thousands of followers on social media, Orny is regarded by his peers as one of the hardest working and passionate comedians in the business. Orny first rose to international prominence after Jerry Seinfeld chose him to co-star in his documentary Comedian. He has made several appearances on The Tonight Show and appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman. Orny’s debut DVD Path Of Most Resistance, was critically acclaimed and was available on Netflix. That was followed by a powerful and poignant one hour special Orny Adams Takes The Third which aired on Comedy Central and Netflix. Currently, and for the past six seasons, Orny can be seen playing the iconic role “Coach Finstock” on the hit MTV show Teen Wolf, a one hour drama created by Criminal Mind’s Jeff Davis. Jeff handpicked Orny for the role after seeing him perform at the Hollywood Improv. Orny has written jokes for Jay Leno, Garry Shandling, and many other top comedians. Gina Yashere Gina is a returning festival favourite, and has been a stand up and TV star in the UK for several years. She appeared on iconic TV shows such as Live At The Apollo, Mock The Week, as well as The Lenny Henry Show. She broke onto the American comedy scene with appearances on Last Comic Standing, where she made it to the final 10, and then never went home! She is also known in the US for being the only British comedian to ever appear on the iconic Def Comedy Jam. She has also been seen on The Tonight Show, Crashing, @midnight on Comedy Central , and her one hour stand-up special on Showtime, Skinny B*tch. She recently shot her 3rd stand-up special, Gina Yashere: Ticking Boxes. She went on to be named as one of the top 10 rising talents in the Hollywood Reporter.
