33rd L’International des Feux Loto-Québec

Bellissima Sicilia

An invitation to discover beautiful Sicily through sights and sounds.

Country: Italy

Vaccalluzzo Events that won a Bronze Jupiter and the Public Choice Award at L’International des Feux Loto-Québec in 2012 returns and invites the Montreal audience to a trip to the island of Sicily. Vaccalluzzo’s pyrotechnicians have creatively recreated the history of Sicily, its art, colours, landscapes, sounds, and architecture. Moreover, this amazing pyromusical journey succeeds at conveying the energy strength, brightness and conviviality that characterize the Sicilian people. This pyromusical display is Vaccalluzzo Events’ own “Sicilia Bedda,” a famous traditional folk song from the Sicilian musical repertoire and still a favourite nowadays. Since the late 1800s, the Vaccalluzzo family gave life to the art and culture of pyrotechnics made in Sicily with its multi-awarded unique displays. The firm won the Caput Lucis Competition in Rome, grabbed first place at the Cannes Festival in 2013 as well as at the Ignis Brunensis Competition in the Czech Republic.

The fireworks start at 10 p.m., rain or shine.
