Ben Heppner, Danièle Henkel, Joseph Rouleau, narration Andrew Wan, violin Ali Yazdanfar, bass Todd Cope, clarinet Mathieu Harel, bassoon Jens Lindemann, trumpet Patrice Richer, trombone Serge Desgagnés, percussions WORLD PREMIERE The Festival’s first-ever commission – a world premiere composed by Canadian Opera Company composer-in-residence Dean Burry and based on Montreal-born author Mordecai Richler’s classic children’s story Jacob Two-Two and the Hooded Fang. Adapted by writer Jacob Richler for chamber septet, the new work will be narrated in English by none other than the great tenor Ben Heppner. Paired with this premiere is Stravinsky’s engaging tale l’Histoire du Soldat narrated in French featuring an all‑star cast including the distinguished actor Albert Millaire, Manon Gauthier, member of the executive committee, Ville de Montréal, and Danièle Henkel, Quebec’s renowned business woman and SRC Dragon’s Den panelist.
