Oysterfest

A culinary celebration centered around the most beautiful of bivalves: the oyster. With all proceeds going towards aquatic sustainability, Oysterfest attendees are helping to protect the environment.

Oysters!

Oysters! As always, the season’s finest oysters will be handpicked by the Old Port Fishing Company and expertly opened by the hottest shuckers in the city. Fun fact: Oysterfest revellers savoured over 23,000 oysters last year!

Food! (The best in the city)

Some of Montreal’s coolest and most acclaimed chefs and restaurants will be on hand, serving up dishes that define their ethos. This year, Oysterfest will welcome such gastronomic giants as Notkins, Park, Bevo, Flyjin, Grinder, Suite 701, Taverne Monkland and many more! We also have a plating competition where 5 of the cities top chefs race against time to make incredible and extravagant seafood platters which are then auctioned for charity.

Drinks! (Lots of drinks)

As any Oysterfester knows, the beverages flow freely at Oysterfest. The friendly crews from Burgundy Lion, Rosewood and Philemon will be happy to pour you something to wash the oysters down with.

Shopping! (The coolest stuff)

Purveyors of food-related products will be on hand to showcase their offerings. And of course, don’t’ forget to get your Oysterfest memorabilia (t-shirts, hoodies and hats)!

Competitions! (Shucking and more)

3 shucking competitions, 3 drink making competitions, and a plating competition (Oysterfest’s take on Iron Chef)

Music! (Top local artists)

Juno award winning, Jonas will be playing, as well as Montreal hip hop sensation Annakin Slayde and of course Shane Murphy. With DJ Myles and Phil keeping you dancing in between.
