National Home Show – March 6-15, Place Bonaventure LiveEvents March 2, 2015 3580 National Home Show shines a spotlight on the latest trends Montreal The 36th edition of the Montreal National Home Show is pulling out all the stops to dazzle you, with this year’s emphasis on interior design and decoration. The Show’s partners and exhibitors are all set to lead you on an innovative journey through the latest home trends. The Show will also present conferences*by its ambassador, France Arcand, who will help you see your home in a whole new light. The world is changing–come be part of the renewal! The 2015 trends according to France Arcand A key speaker in the series of conferences presented at the Show, France Arcand will focus on the major trends we’ll see in 2015. Make way for pastels Gone is sterile white and austere décor. Make way for pastels soft hues and a blend of styles. Bring the world into your home, and let each room transport you to distant lands. The New Trends Pavilion is sure to inspire, with its accent on this year’s official colour trend. Vintage appliances Stainless steel, so popular in recent years, is gradually giving way to copper and burnt orange. Earth and rust tones are returning, with each colour permutation as breath taking as the next. Brass is also back. Spice up your kitchen with a vintage refrigerator in a distinctive‘60s-‘70s style and sporting today’s pastel shades. Bring a brand new dimension to your kitchen’s neutral décor. Maison Éthier will feature a selection of retro appliances at the Show-your mission will be to choose the perfect one. A blend of styles Love to travel? You no longer need to fear complementing your décor with unique touches from afar that add colour to your home. Lime, orange and fuchsia reflect your love for life. Add warmth to your rooms with the sunshine of Brazil, sands of Morocco, or bright lights of New York. Create your own environment by blending cultures and eras in the same room. Remarkable recycling! Stylized recycled objects are also becoming increasingly popular. Boutiverre, a Montreal studio that redesigns 100% recycled glass, has adopted this approach. The artist uses a range of traditional glass making techniques, such as glass blowing, hand-reshaping and sand casting, to bring new life to glass bottles. With designs inspired by a distinctly urban approach, there shaped bottles have a contemporary and decorative flair all their own. A touch of the exotic Do animal and tribal prints reveal the real you? Perhaps you prefer to express yourself with natural fibres such as linen or cotton. In all cases, exhibitor Muralunique has hundreds of inspiring wall covering ideas to complement your décor.
