Artists Emmanuelle Bertrand, cello Emmanuelle Bertrand is one of France’s most prominent and adventurous cellists. She attended the Lyon and Paris Conservatories, studying with Jean Deplace and Philippe Muller. Winner of numerous international competitions, Bertrand has appeared as a soloist with a large variety of orchestras, including the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra, the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, and the BBC Symphony Orchestra of Wales. Since 1999, she has often performed with pianist Pascal Amoyel in a duo. Pascal Amoyel, piano Voted “Solo Instrumental Discovery of the Year” at France’s Victoires de la Musique in 2005, Pascal Amoyel began piano studies at 10 years of age at the École normale de musique de Paris and was soon noticed by György Cziffra, with whom he later studied in France and Hungary. After graduating with the Baccalauréat série scientifique, Pascal Amoyel decided to devote himself entirely to music, marking the beginning of his thriving international career and performances at numerous prestigious venues around the world.
