The Nuit blanche à Montréal is proud to present a dazzling program for its 22nd edition! On March 1, 2025, the Nuit blanche is going POP: POP culture, POP art, POPs of colour, POP-ups and POP music. This year, night owls are invited to POP along to this one-of-a-kind event. Get your Unlimited Evening pass in advance at the usual rate to explore the city and hop with ease between the Nuit blanche’s eight hubs—the Quartier des Spectacles, Downtown, Hochelaga, Mile-End, the North, Plateau Mont-Royal, Latin Quarter and the Village and Old Montréal. Look out for the mystery métro car making its return: a dazzling, pop-inspired experience awaits you! Soak up the magic of the night, thanks to STM. At Quartier des Spectacles Drag shows, immersive parties, fascinating exhibitions and luminous installations—the Quartier des Spectacles is teeming with activities to set your night off with a POP! Montréal en Lumière’s outdoor site on the Place des Festivals is open for an after-dark skate on the Loto-Québec Skating Loop and an energizing pit stop at the Village Gourmand, presented in collaboration with Mordu. Night owls can satisfy their curiosity and their hunger until the wee hours of the morning with a Culinary Tarot activity, plus locally sourced, reasonably priced culinary offerings by Menu Extra. In honour of the Nuit blanche, the Rogers DJ Booth has put together a special program that will get you moving to house, afro house, techno and a wide variety of electronic music. On the line-up for the night of March 1: Soren Tracy, BLEM, the St.Laurent duo, George Alexander and none other than Justin Jay, one of America’s best in dance music. Come and get your groove on! The Blondo, Dry and Cool activation invites festival-goers to pose in front of large ice wings to capture a memorable photo of their experience. The Maison du Festival invites you to the Paint & Sip Workshops, presented by Authentic Wines & Spirits in collaboration with Canvas Club, where you can paint while enjoying a wine tasting. Six theme routes mean even more ways to experience your Nuit blanche à Montréal — Une Nuit racontée, Une Nuit à créer, Une Nuit en famille, Une Nuit qui s’expose, Musique de Nuit and of course, Une Nuit POP, a lively and vibrant theme route. POP culture, POP art, POP music and all things POP are celebrated on this exciting visual adventure—and it’s free! For Une Nuit POP, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts opens the doors to its exhibitions ᐆᒻᒪᖁᑎᒃ uummaqutik: Essence of Life and Two by Two, Together. The MMFA will also host a workshop on creating bubble wrap accessories, as well as a multi-sensory POP party with DJ Silktits. The McCord Stewart Museum will offer free entry to its exhibitions, with the Pop ! Ball at the Museum set to kick off after midnight. At this historical costume ball, a classical ensemble will take on the greatest pop music hits. Costume up and make a grand entrance! The MEM (Centre des mémoires montréalaises) travels back to the future, landing in the POP era with POP-UP booths that celebrate the 80s with karaoke, POPcorn, POPsicles, POP art and DJ PopTrt to boot! Don’t miss a trip into the Satosphère at the SAT (Société des arts technologiques) event presented by Ubisoft. The theme: Hyperpop and Pixel Art! Come light up the dome’s immersive dance floor with DJ Gwinestefani, Awwful and D.Blavatsky. Eurovision fans can relive the highlights of previous editions with an exciting evening at the Goethe-Institut, hosted by drag queen extraordinaire Misty Waterfalls and friends. They will revisit memorable hits in German, English, Spanish, French and Italian with signature style before handing the microphone over for some karaoke fun! And PHI, in collaboration with POP Montréal, presents LA NUIT POP, a buzzing evening dedicated to Montréal’s POP scene with danceable rhythms, artistic performances and POP-UP surprises galore! Not to be Missed and New this Year The NFB invites you and the entire family to a Pop-Fuelled Night! Come and watch animated shorts and go behind the scenes of The Girl with the Red Beret—take part in the creative process as filmmaker Janet Perlman animates a scene before your eyes. To top it all off, you can pose on the red carpet with a real Oscar® and make your own GIF. La Nuit de la poésie is back at the Place des Arts. Organized by poet and UQAM professor Marc André Brouillette, the evening will feature three strands—poetry readings accompanied by a musical ensemble, featuring more than 30 poets from across generations, including Joséphine Bacon; a marathon of choreographic improvisations for poems; and the unveiling of a media work designed especially for the event. Head over to UQAM’s design pavilion to visit BUONE NUOVE, an exhibition that highlights the contributions of Italian and Canadian women to the fields of architecture and furniture. Festival-goers will also be able to take part in a free, fun workshop. You won’t want to miss Lab-O-Troc, a participatory play on the Place Pasteur that raises awareness of energy overconsumption through a comical and absurd experience.
