Raoul Sosa – The Romantic Piano

Renowned pianist and educator Raoul Sosa delivers the thoughts and the message of three giants of the piano repertoire in a program featuring lyricism, passion, and melodic inspiration.

The artistic talent of the Canadian musician, Raoul Sosa, allows him to combine the roles of pianist, composer and conductor. His stunning musicality and virtuoso performances have been so impressive that music critics have described him as “one of the most important musicians of his time”.

A highly respected pedagogue and Professor Emeritus at the Conservatoire de Musique de Montreal in piano and chamber music, Raoul Sosa is in demand as a jury member in competitions and festivals, and as a clinician in technique and interpretation in master classes.

Raoul Sosa was honoured as a Member of the Order of Canada in 2009 for his contribution to the advancement of music in the country as a pianist, composer, conductor and pedagogue. The Governor General of Canada also awarded him the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012 for his dedicated service to Canada.
